Bex Mui (she/her) is a biracial, Chinese & Polish, queer, lesbian, cis femme organizer and consultant committed to the work of LGBTQ+ affirmation at the intersections of education, spirituality, and sexual & mental wellness.
She has advocated for LGBTQ+ affirmation on the national level since 2016 and continues to work with organizations and schools across the country.

More about Me
Bex has worked and advocated for systemic LGBTQ+ inclusion for the past 10 years. Bex started her journey studying systems of oppression with a queer feminist lens at the College of New Rochelle where she received a B.A. in English and a certification for Elementary Education.
Dedicated to progressive education and facilitated learning, Bex chose Bank Street College to receive her Master’s in Education with a specialization in Literacy. Bex worked for ten years as an elementary classroom teacher, Equity and Inclusion Director, and LGBTQ coordinator. She served on the NYSAIS Diversity Council and was a core member of the LGBTQ Educator working group for the New York Collective of Radical Educators.
For five years, Bex served as the Education Manager at a national non-profit organization LGBTQ support in K-12 schools. Bex has supported school, district, and national LGBTQ-inclusion and social justice initiatives and has conducted equity-themed PD workshops for students, faculty, administrators, and families.
